Here are some steps to set up twitter.

Ø  Go to www.twitter.com here you can see at the left side, a bar asking your username and password.

Ø  Below that, you can see “New to twitter? Join it” after that there are three things; username, email and password. I suggest you write your primary email as the signup because you may need your twitter messages from other users. Fill it with what you like and click “Sign up”.

Ø  Another page will appear, confirming your username availability, and email verification. If all is okay, the green check sign appears after every bar. Then click on “Create Account”

Ø  Here you are on your Twitter account. Find your interests. If don’t want to choose now. Go to Next Step: friends.

Ø  The very good thing about twitter is, it imports contacts from all mail services like yahoo, gmail, hotmail and linkedIn and it tells you which of your friends are already on twitter. So you can add your friends.

Ø  When you click on an email service, it will open a new window in which you have to sign in with that email service. Import your contacts from there.

Ø  Now you are on your home page. At the top is written “what’s happening”, here you can share anything with your friends.

Ø  At the top right when you click on your name, you can find the settings. Click on this option. Here you can change the design, your password, edit your profile and your GMT settings. You can also change your username here, without affecting tweets.
